3. Appearance and Properties: Dichloromethane is a colorless, transparent, volatile liquid with an ether-like pungent odor and a sweet taste. It is slightly soluble in water and soluble in ethanol. It is a non-flammable, low-boiling-point solvent, often used as a substitute for flammable solvents.

6. In China, dichloromethane is mainly used in film production and the pharmaceutical industry. Film production accounts for 50% of total consumption, while the pharmaceutical industry accounts for 20%.
For customers in cleaning, pharmaceuticals, and electronics, Jiangsu Meilan's dichloromethane must be used. For customers in degradable plastics, Jinling's product is sufficient.
Jiangsu Meilan's dichloromethane is produced from natural gas-based methanol, while Jinling's is produced from coal-based methanol.
