Dimethylacetamide (DMAC)

N,N-Dimethylacetamide is an excellent polar solvent for synthesizing natural resins, used in the synthesis of polyimides, polysulfonamides, and other high-molecular compounds. It is also employed in film formation and spinning of synthetic resins, in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals, and in the crystallization and purification of aromatic dicarboxylic acids such as terephthalic acid. In reactions such as elimination, halogenation, cyclization, alkylation, and transesterification, N,N-dimethylacetamide not only serves as a reaction medium but also acts as a catalyst and improves yield. It is primarily used as a solvent in pharmaceuticals, polyamide resins, pesticides, and also as an extractive distillation solvent for separating styrene from C8 fractions. It is widely applied in high-molecular films, coatings, and other areas. Currently, dimethylacetamide is extensively used in pharmaceuticals and pesticides for synthesizing antibiotics and pesticides. N,N-Dimethylacetamide is a non-protonic polar solvent and an excellent solvent for many organic synthesis reactions. It is used as a raw material for synthetic fibers and as an excellent polar solvent in organic synthesis.
