Laboratory ultrapure water machines are roughly divided into four units: pretreatment, reverse osmosis, ion exchange, and terminal ultrafiltration. Tap water first passes through the pretreatment unit to remove larger particles, suspended solids, and some organic matter. It then enters the reverse osmosis unit, where ionic substances and macromolecular substances (such as viruses, microorganisms, etc.) are intercepted and removed. After that, it goes through the ion exchange unit to purify and ultrapurify the residual trace ions left after membrane removal, reducing the ion content in the water to trace levels. Finally, technologies like UV and ultrafiltration ensure that microorganisms, organic matter, and pyrogens in the ultrapure water meet the requirements of various experimental applications.

Ultrapure water is produced using distillation, deionization, reverse osmosis technology, or other appropriate supercritical fine techniques. Today, ultrapure water is widely used in fields such as biology, medicine, and automotive. This water contains almost no impurities other than water molecules (H₂O), no bacteria, viruses, chlorine-containing organic matter, and certainly no essential mineral trace elements for the human body. Ultrapure water has no hardness, a sweet taste, and is often referred to as soft water. It can be consumed directly or boiled. Ultrapure water is a level of purity that is difficult to achieve through general processes. For example, water with a resistivity greater than 18 MΩ·cm, approaching 18.3 MΩ·cm, is called ultrapure water.
Using methods such as pretreatment, reverse osmosis technology, ultrapurification treatment, and post-treatment, the conductive media in water are almost completely removed, and colloidal substances, gases, and organic matter that do not dissociate are reduced to very low levels in water treatment equipment.
The desalination core component of the ultrapure water system equipment is an imported reverse osmosis membrane module. The ultrapure water system equipment typically consists of a pretreatment section, a reverse osmosis host section, and a post-treatment section.

4. Self-diagnosis of abnormal operation (water quality and quantity of raw water, pre-purified water, and ultrapure water), with warnings or automatic system shutdown.
