The Xinrui Laboratory Water Treatment High-Purity Water System can almost completely remove conductive media from water, as well as reduce colloidal substances, gases, and organic matter to very low levels. The resistivity reaches a limit of greater than 10–18.3 MΩ*cm. Ultrapure water is a standard that is difficult to achieve with ordinary pure water systems. It typically requires an industrial high-purity water system that employs four major steps: pretreatment, reverse osmosis technology, high-purity treatment, and post-treatment. This involves multi-stage filtration, high-performance ion exchange (polishing), ultrafiltration, UV lamps, TOC removal devices, and other methods to achieve a resistivity of up to 18.25 MΩ*cm.
Overview of the Xinrui Laboratory Water Treatment High-Purity Water System Process
1. Pretreatment System
Features a specially designed three-stage pretreatment system. It is particularly suitable for customers in areas with high tap water salinity, hardness, abundant solid impurities, and high chlorine content. It is extremely convenient and economical to use. The system is meticulously designed based on the concept of "layer-by-layer protection and step-by-step filtration." Due to the large capacity and high precision of each unit, the pretreatment function is more powerful, self-protection is better, and the removal efficiency for various impurities is higher.
2. Reverse Osmosis System
Utilizes high-quality imported RO membranes. These membranes have strong screening functions and extremely stable performance. Under the system's set pressure, they allow only water to pass through while blocking solutes. Thus, they can precisely remove bacteria, viruses, salts, and various carcinogenic substances from water. The desalination rate is ≥99%. The reverse osmosis system is equipped with an automatic cleaning function, effectively preventing scaling and clogging of the RO membrane, ensuring efficient and stable operation.
3. Ultrapurification System
Employs high-quality nuclear-grade polishing mixed-bed three-column resin. The ultrapurification system ensures the complete removal of ions from water, with the produced water achieving a resistivity of up to 18 MΩ/cm, sufficient to meet the basic requirements of various experiments.
Key Operating Points of the Xinrui Laboratory High-Purity Water System
(1) To intercept smaller particles, the pore size of the fiber filter column must not exceed 5 μm. It plays a crucial role in ensuring clean inlet water and extending the lifespan of downstream components.
A pump is used to pressurize the water at the outlet of the fiber column, allowing the pressurized water to enter the activated carbon column. The certain pressure required for water to enter the activated carbon column and the RO column is called osmotic pressure.
(2) Activated carbon, widely used as an adsorbent, can adsorb inorganic and organic substances present in water. However, its adsorption capacity varies for different substances. Below is an introduction to the organic substances that activated carbon easily adsorbs and those it finds difficult to adsorb. Activated carbon helps reduce the oxidation demand of water, prevents organic matter from entering and damaging the ion exchange bed, and removes residual chlorine from water.
(3) After activated carbon filtration, the water enters the RO reverse osmosis unit. The pore size of the reverse osmosis membrane generally ranges from 10 Å to 100 Å, enabling it to remove over 95% of ionic impurities.
(4) The EDI process system of the high-purity water equipment uses water that has undergone primary reverse osmosis desalination as the feed water, which then undergoes secondary desalination through ion exchange resin in the EDI module. This allows for a continuous pure water production process, replacing the traditional DI mixed resin bed method for producing deionized water and avoiding the use of acid and alkali regeneration. It significantly reduces acid and alkali costs while effectively preventing environmental pollution.
Performance Features of the RS Series High-Purity Water System
Equipped with power indicator, pump operation indicator, low-pressure indicator, and system rinse indicator functions.
2. Uses imported ion filtration membranes and high-pressure, silent pure water pumps, ensuring more reliable operation and broader applicability to various water qualities;
3. Features a system rinse function: Before each startup for water production, the system automatically rinses for 18 seconds before beginning water production;
4. Includes a system protection function: The equipment automatically shuts down when water pressure is too low or there is no water, and automatically starts up when water is available;
5. In addition to the above features, the RS-II High-Purity Water System also includes online monitoring functionality, allowing real-time detection of the output water quality. It displays the water quality (conductivity online monitoring for higher accuracy) and temperature with an LCD background.
