Compared to materials of the same density, it is over 10% lighter, with thermal insulation performance in low temperatures more than 5 times that of cotton. Its thermal insulation rate surpasses that of cashmere, and it can maintain thermal insulation performance for extended periods in extreme environments as low as -30°C.

- Aerogel is currently the world's lowest-density nano-scale porous solid material.
