Rotundine, also known as Levo-tetrahydropalmatine, is primarily extracted and refined from plants of the Menispermaceae family, such as Corydalis. It appears as white to slightly yellow crystals or crystalline powder, odorless, with a slightly bitter taste. It is highly soluble in chloroform, soluble in ethanol, slightly soluble in water, and its main components are alkaloid compounds.
