It is soluble in water, dilute ethanol, and glycerol, but insoluble in absolute ethanol and ether. Its solubility in water increases significantly with rising temperature. It decomposes at 400°C, releasing oxygen. It does not deliquesce in air. Hazard characteristics: Strong oxidizer. It can intensify fires when in contact with combustible materials. Contact or mixture with organic substances, reducing agents, or flammable materials such as sulfur and phosphorus may pose a risk of combustion or explosion. Toxic nitrogen oxide gases are released during combustion and decomposition. When heated, it decomposes and releases oxygen. Hazardous combustion products: Nitrogen oxides. Firefighting measures: Firefighters must wear gas masks and full-body protective clothing. Extinguish fires from upwind using water spray or sand. Avoid directing water stream directly onto the molten substance to prevent severe flowing fires or violent splashing. 【Applications】 Primarily used in fireworks, black powder, matches, fuses, candle wicks, tobacco, color TV picture tubes, pharmaceuticals, chemical reagents, catalysts, ceramic glazes, glass, compound fertilizers, and as foliar fertilizer for economic crops such as flowers, vegetables, and fruit trees. Additionally, it is used as an auxiliary material in the metallurgical and food industries. 【Storage Precautions】 Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire and heat sources. The storage temperature should not exceed 30°C, and relative humidity should not exceed 80%. Separate from reducing agents, acids, flammable/combustible materials, and active metal powders. Avoid mixed storage.
