What is 7mn15cr2al3v2wmo material? 7mn15cr2al3v2wmo, fully named 7mn15cr2al3v2wmo non-magnetic steel, is a high Mo-V series non-magnetic steel. This material maintains stable austenite in various states, exhibits very low magnetic permeability, and possesses high high-temperature strength and hardness, as well as excellent wear resistance. Due to the cold work hardening phenomenon of high manganese steel, machining is relatively difficult. High-temperature annealing processes can alter the particle size, morphology, and distribution of carbides, significantly improving the machinability of non-magnetic steel. Using gas nitrocarburizing heat treatment processes can further enhance the surface hardness of the steel, increase wear resistance, and extend the service life of molds.

Applications
7mn15cr2al3v2wmo non-magnetic mold steel plate is suitable for manufacturing non-magnetic molds in the electronics industry; non-magnetic bearings and other structural components that require no magnetic induction in strong magnetic fields; hot work molds for industrial use at 700-800°C; non-magnetic cold work molds, plastic and rubber molds; magnetic plastics, magnetic field forming molds; wear-resistant non-magnetic tools; EDM molds; non-magnetic molds for magnetic material factories; and precision components for molds such as exhaust valves used in high-intensity gasoline and diesel engines.
Characteristics
7mn15cr2al3v2wmo non-magnetic material is applied to permanent magnet motors due to its low magnetic permeability and high mechanical strength. However, its mechanical properties such as high hardness and toughness increase the difficulty of machining.
Heat Treatment Solution and Aging Process
Annealing temperature for 7mn15cr2al3v2wmo is 880-900°C, holding time 3-6 hours, furnace cooling, air cooling below 500°C, hardness 28-30 HRC; microstructure consists of fine-grained austenite + uniformly distributed carbide particles. Solution treatment temperature for 7mn15cr2al3v2wmo is 1170-1190°C, holding for 15-20 minutes, water cooling. Aging treatment temperature for non-magnetic steel is 650-700°C, aging for 15-20 hours, air cooling, hardness ≥45 HRC.
Gas Nitrocarburizing Process
Process parameters for gas nitrocarburizing of 7mn15cr2al3v2wmo non-magnetic steel: nitriding temperature 550-570°C, nitriding time 4-6 hours, achievable case depth 0.03-0.04 mm, surface hardness of the case 950-1100 HV.
