Rotary Screen

Trommel screens, cylindrical screens, and rotary screens feature high permeability, making them particularly suitable for screening sticky and wet materials, with screen holes that are not easily clogged. They are widely used in industries such as power generation, mining, metallurgy, building materials, and chemicals for screening and grading raw coal, sand, crushed stone, and other materials.

Rotary screens can perform four-stage screening, with two sections in the finished product area. The SH-type rotary screen comes with a built-in hopper, equipped with a扇形闸门 (sector gate) at the lower part. The coarse material section has a chute to directly convey coarse materials to transport machinery, facilitating process layout. If customers require only one section in the finished product area, i.e., a three-stage rotary screen, this should be specified when placing an order.

Working Principle of Trommel Screens, Cylindrical Screens, and Rotary Screens:

Trommel screens, cylindrical screens, and rotary screens mainly consist of components such as a motor, reducer, drum device, and frame. The drum device is installed at an incline. The motor, connected to the drum mechanism via the reducer, drives the drum mechanism to rotate around its axis. When materials enter the drum device, due to the inclination and rotation of the drum, qualified materials (undersize products) are discharged through the screen mesh on the outer circumference of the drum, while unqualified materials (oversize products) are discharged from the end of the drum. The drum device of the SH-type series rotary screen is sealed with a body cover, effectively preventing dust from escaping during operation and eliminating dust pollution. When replacing the screen mesh, simply open the body cover for easy operation.

1. Wide adaptability to materials: Suitable for screening various materials, whether inferior coal, coal slurry, soot, or other types of materials, screening can be carried out smoothly;
2. Simple and diverse feeding methods: The feed inlet can be designed according to the actual site conditions. Whether using belts, hoppers, or other feeding methods, no special measures are needed for smooth feeding;
3. High screening efficiency: The equipment can be equipped with a comb-type cleaning mechanism. During the screening process, no matter how dirty or mixed the materials entering the screening drum are, they can be screened, thereby improving the screening efficiency of the equipment;

Large screening capacity and easy scalability: For the same size, the circular area is larger than other shapes, resulting in a larger effective screening area, allowing materials to fully contact the screen mesh. Thus, the screening capacity per unit time is greater. Additionally, due to its simple structure, convenient layout, and novel yet mature technology, it is highly scalable;
5. Low energy consumption: The motor power is small, only one-half to one-third of other screen types. The operating time for processing the same amount of material is only half that of other screen types, resulting in low energy consumption;
6. Good working environment: The entire screening drum can be sealed with an isolation cover, completely eliminating dust flying and block splashing during the screening cycle, avoiding pollution of the working environment;
7. Low equipment noise: During operation, due to the low rotational speed and the isolation cover sealing it off from the outside, noise cannot be transmitted externally, thus reducing equipment noise;
8. Long service life and minimal maintenance: The rotary screen is composed of several circular ring screens, with a total screening area far greater than that of other screen types. Combined with high screening efficiency and short equipment operating time, it has a long service life, with few wear parts and minimal maintenance required;
9. Convenient maintenance: The upper sealing isolation cover of the equipment can be removed without affecting the normal operation of the machine, making maintenance very convenient.
