Product Description:

The B40 External Float Cage Level Switch is a float-driven control unit specifically designed and manufactured for high-pressure, high-temperature working conditions (such as boilers). It features a durable industrial-grade or ASME B31.1 construction.

Applications:

Chemical, crude oil, natural gas processing, nuclear power, electricity, pulp and paper.

Features:

(1) Optional measuring cylinder materials include carbon steel, stainless steel, and chromium-molybdenum alloy;

(2) 300 series stainless steel float;

(3) Optional switch components: dry contact, hermetically sealed;

(4) Minimum specific gravity: 0.65;

(5) Optional switch component housing: TYPE 4X steel with polymer lining, TYPE 4X/7/9 Class I, Div. 1, Groups B, C & D, aluminum alloy or cast iron with polymer lining;

(6) Optional tank process connections: 1" weld nipple, 1" or 1 1⁄2" socket weld.

Working Principle:

As the counterweighted float follows the liquid level changes, the magnetic sleeve enters or leaves the magnetic field of the switch magnet, thereby triggering the switch action. A non-magnetic isolation sleeve separates the process liquid from the switch components.
