Electrical contact pressure gauges are suitable for measuring the pressure of various liquids, gases, and other media that are non-corrosive to copper alloys, non-explosive, and non-crystalline. When used in conjunction with corresponding electrical components, these instruments can achieve pre-set automatic control and signaling (alarm) for either the maximum or minimum pressure values in the measured pressure system.

The electrical contact pressure gauge consists of a measurement system, an indication system, a magnetically assisted electrical contact device, a housing, an adjustment device, and a terminal box (plug socket).

General electrical contact pressure gauges are used to measure positive and negative pressures of gases and liquid media that do not corrode copper and copper alloys. Stainless steel electrical contact pressure gauges are used to measure positive and negative pressures of gases and liquid media that do not corrode stainless steel. They also send signals when the pressure reaches a predetermined value, activating control circuits to achieve automatic control and alarm purposes.

The working principle of the electrical contact pressure gauge is based on the deformation of the spring tube in the measurement system under the pressure of the measured medium. This forces the end of the spring tube to undergo corresponding elastic deformation—displacement. Through a linkage rod and gear transmission mechanism, the movement is amplified and indicated on the dial by the pointer (along with the contact). Simultaneously, when it comes into contact (normally closed or normally open) with the contact on the set pointer (upper or lower limit), the circuit in the control system is broken or connected, achieving automatic control and alarm signaling.
