Vaisala DRYCAP® Intelligent Dew Point and Temperature Probe DMP5 is designed for in-line humidity measurement in industrial drying applications with high temperatures and a wide dew point range. The robust stainless steel long probe and optional mounting flange make installation easy, allowing adjustable depth through insulation layers (e.g., in furnaces).

(1) Direct dew point measurement in high-temperature processes
The intelligent DMP5 is suitable for in-line dew point measurement in high-temperature processes, with a dew point range of -40°C (-40°F) to 100°C (212°F). The probe measures dew point with an accuracy of ± 2°C at temperatures up to 140°C (284°F) but can safely operate at temperatures up to 180°C (+365°F).
Installation is straightforward, as the probe can be directly installed in the process. In-line measurement eliminates the need for sampling systems or trace heating of sample lines.
(2) Vaisala DRYCAP® sensor for accurate and reliable measurements
The Vaisala DRYCAP® sensor is stable, accurate, and reliable. It is unaffected by particulate contamination, oil mist, and most chemicals. The sensor heating function reduces the risk of condensation buildup on the sensor. If the DRYCAP® sensor gets wet, it can quickly dry and recover. The automatic calibration function ensures accurate and stable measurements.
The chemical purge function periodically heats the sensor to eliminate harmful chemicals. This helps maintain measurement accuracy throughout the calibration cycle in environments with high concentrations of chemicals and cleaning agents.
(3) Use standalone or with Indigo transmitters
The intelligent DMP5 is part of the Vaisala Indigo series, so it can also be used with Vaisala Indigo200 transmitters. These transmitters offer additional features, such as a display for intuitive data visualization, easy access for probe configuration, and more options for connectivity, power voltage, and wiring.
The built-in RS-485 Modbus RTU communication protocol means the DMP5 can be used as a standalone device or easily integrated into third-party systems.
When using the DMP5 standalone or with an Indigo transmitter, it can be connected to Vaisala Insight PC software for easy on-site calibration, probe configuration, and device analysis.
