Pulsar® R96 Non-Contact Radar

Product Description:

The Pulsar® R96 is a loop-powered 24 VDC non-contact radar level transmitter. It features a longer measurement range, better diagnostic capabilities, and is easier to use than most loop-powered radar transmitters.

Applications:

Chemical, crude oil processing, nuclear power, water and wastewater treatment, power generation, petroleum refining, pulp and paper.

Features:

(1) Performance independent of process conditions (unaffected by changes in specific gravity and dielectric constant);

(2) 6 GHz operating frequency provides superior performance in turbulent, foamy, and heavy vapor applications;

(3) Antenna design rated for +400 °F (+204 °C);

(4) Measurement range up to 130 feet (40 meters);

(5) Quick connect/disconnect probe sleeve allows the vessel to remain sealed at all times;

(6) Capable of achieving SIL 2, with a Safe Failure Fraction (SFF) = 92.7% (FMEDA approval required);

(7) PACTware™ PC software interface enhances DTM.

Working Principle:

PULSAR transmitter technology is based on pulse-burst radar technology together with equivalent time sampling circuitry. Short bursts of 6 GHz microwave energy are emitted and subsequently reflected from the liquid level surface.
