YB Series Precision Pressure Gauges

If there is doubt about the accuracy of the blood pressure gauge, a calibrated mercury column sphygmomanometer or blood pressure gauge can be used for verification. The method involves removing the "Y" tube from the stethoscope, connecting its two ends to the accurate sphygmomanometer (blood pressure gauge) and the gauge to be verified, respectively, and the third end to the cuff and air valve. Using the same pressure, observe whether the readings of the gauge being verified match those of the accurate sphygmomanometer (blood pressure gauge). If they differ, it indicates that the gauge being verified is inaccurate. If the readings are the same but there is a zero deviation, it does not affect practical use. If the pointer of the blood pressure gauge does not return to zero, do not adjust the screw arbitrarily to avoid damaging the internal mechanism. Instead, send the blood pressure gauge to the manufacturer or an authorized service center for repair.

Precautions:

Before using a spring gauge sphygmomanometer, it should be inspected first. A normally functioning blood pressure gauge should have its pointer at zero when not in use. After pressurization, it should respond flexibly and return to the original zero position.
