The LUGB flange-clamp type vortex flowmeter is a commonly used structural form. Its body does not have connecting flanges itself. When connecting to the pipeline, the flowmeter is clamped between two special flanges and then tightened with bolts. Its characteristics include small size, simple and compact structure. It also provides special flanges and tightening bolts, so the installation cost is low, and installation is very convenient.

How to Select Products / HOW TO SELECT PRODUCTS
For the selection of vortex flowmeters, mainly confirm the following parameter requirements:
01. Measuring Medium
The vortex flowmeter is a velocity flowmeter that utilizes the principle of Karman vortex street. When the medium passes through the vortex generator, small vortices form behind it. By counting the number of vortices, the flow velocity of the medium can be calculated, and then converted into the flow rate of the medium. Its principle determines the types of measuring media, which can be liquid, gas, or steam. Currently, in most industrial applications, such as nitrogen, compressed air, steam, thermal oil, etc., vortex flowmeters are mostly used for measurement.
02. Pipe Diameter
According to different installation methods, vortex flowmeters can be divided into pipeline type and insertion type. For the pipeline type, the pipe diameter, like most other flowmeters, can be as small as DN15 and as large as DN300. If a larger diameter is needed, insertion type installation can be chosen. The conventional diameter range can reach up to DN2000, and diameters above DN2000 are supplied according to agreement.
03. Measuring Accuracy
The accuracy of vortex flowmeters also has several levels, and it is divided according to the measuring medium. For pipeline type vortex flowmeters, if measuring liquid, the accuracy can reach class 1.0; if measuring gas, the accuracy can reach class 1.5. For insertion type vortex flowmeters, the accuracy can reach class 1.5 and class 2.5.
04. Medium Temperature
Generally, it is divided into three ranges: normal temperature, medium temperature, and high temperature. The temperature ranges are -40~100℃ (normal temperature), 100~250℃ (medium temperature), 100~320℃ (high temperature). If the on-site medium temperature is higher, such as some superheated steam, orifice plate flowmeters can be used for measurement.
05. Nominal Pressure
It is mainly divided according to the installation method. The main market demands are as follows, for example, flange clamp type (2.5MPa), flange connection type (1.0/1.6/2.5MPa), insertion installation type (1.6MPa/2.5MPa/4.0MPa).
06. Power Supply
According to current market demands, mainly include +12VDC (three-wire pulse output), +24VDC (three-wire pulse output type and two-wire current output type), 3.6V lithium battery, dual power supply.
07. Output Signal
According to current market demands, mainly include voltage frequency pulse output, two-wire 4-20mA output, and HART output. In addition, some occasions may require digital output, and we can also provide Modbus RS485 communication.
