Working Principle

• Based on optical or laser measurement technology, it emits light or laser beams onto the rail surface, then receives the reflected light, and analyzes the time or intensity changes of the reflected light to construct the rail's profile shape. Some also use mechanical contact measurement, where a probe contacts the rail surface and records its displacement to depict the profile.
