The MM-33 can be successfully combined with our other micromanipulators and is also available separately for users who need a small, practical instrument for applications that do not require sub-micron precision.
The MM-33 is ideal for compact environments where maximum versatility is required in confined spaces. The vertical lock is perfect for securing the position of the vertical axis and enhancing stability. Optional rotating bases and a tiltable X-axis further increase flexibility.
Stainless steel cross-loaded roller bearings are designed to provide low friction, smooth linear motion, and minimize backlash. Preloaded rollers are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the hardened steel guide rails, ensuring continuous contact and precision. The precision rack and pinion drive enables stable, drift-free motion while minimizing play. The controls are arranged in a stacked configuration, reducing manual handling and making positioning easier. All axes are calibrated in 0.10 mm increments, with the X-axis fine-thrust adjustment offering 0.01 mm precision and an estimated accuracy of 5 microns.
The optional rotating base provides two additional planes of rotation, expanding the utility of the MM-33. Horizontal rotation (approximately 120 degrees) features stops and a quick-release mechanism for easy insertion and removal of pipettes. The second rotational axis allows the MM-33 to tilt from 0 to 70 degrees in the vertical plane. The optional tiltable X-axis permits fine-axis inclination up to 45 degrees. Since these modifications are factory-installed, these options should be ordered at the time of purchase.
