I. SPM9513X5 Centralized Prepaid Multi-User Electricity Meter Technical Features
1. Centralized detection for multi-user electricity meters, compact size, easy installation. Each meter can centrally monitor and control 39 single-phase or 13 three-phase electricity circuits, with cyclic display for each household.
2. Prepaid electricity, automatic disconnection when credit is exhausted. Flexible payment methods: electricity can be sold via Cat5e twisted pair network using 485 communication or through infrared sales. Automatic power cut-off when the purchased electricity is used up.
3. Load control. Set current limits for each user on the meter; automatic power cut-off when the user's load exceeds the limit, and automatic restoration when the load falls below the limit.
4. Setting of control parameters. For networked payment methods, settings are configured via remote communication.
5. Data security. Data is encrypted at the workgroup level, with simple operation and high security. All original operational data is retained to facilitate financial supervision such as payment/review; the system operation log is complete, aiding traceability and auditing.

(1) Each household's energy metering unit: mainly composed of voltage and current sampling and a dedicated energy meter chip (such as BL0932B, ADE7755, etc.). Its task is to accumulate and store each user's electricity consumption, simultaneously converting the energy into corresponding pulses for output or processing by the microcontroller.
(2) Microcontroller system: It is an intelligent data acquisition, processing, and control unit. Its task is to receive and store each user's electricity consumption, process it, control the public display for timed, cyclic display of each household's consumption (or remaining) electricity, and manage external communication for tasks such as meter reading or remote control.
(3) Output section: mainly includes the public display and external communication and control interfaces.
It is worth mentioning that there is another type of centralized multi-user electronic energy meter on the market where sampling is done individually for each household, but the electricity consumption calculation for each household is performed by the same chip or microcontroller system. This type of meter, whether in structure or principle, does not possess the "one meter per household" functionality. Another issue is that the electricity consumption calculation for each household is handled by the same component, meaning each household's calculation must wait in a cyclic queue. This inevitably leads to metering errors, with the error increasing as the number of households grows.
