Properties: Appearance is white fine short columnar crystals; decomposes upon melting; highly soluble in water, aqueous solution is alkaline; poorly soluble in ethanol; insoluble in alcohols, ethers, chloroform, and
　　　  benzene; dissolution is endothermic, non-hygroscopic, and has strong reducing properties.

Uses: This product has a wide range of applications in industry. In the water treatment field, it can be used as a deoxidizer for boiler water and is the most advanced material currently used for boiler water deoxygenation;
　　　  it is also used as a component in rocket propellants; in the textile industry, it is used as a cross-linking agent for elastic fibers, a formaldehyde scavenger, and an antioxidant for pigments such as carotene.
　　　  As a chemical raw material and intermediate, it is widely used in pharmaceuticals, herbicides, plant growth regulators, dyes, and other industries.
