Mainly used as an extractant for aromatics extraction, a solvent for polymer spinning or film casting, purification of natural gas, synthesis gas, and refinery gas, desulfurization in synthesis gas purification, and as a solvent for rubber and plastics. Additionally, it can be used in the textile printing and dyeing industry as a dyeing auxiliary, making colors bright and glossy.
