Storage Conditions

1. Packaged in 200kg iron drums. Store sealed to prevent leakage, avoid rain, exposure to sunlight, severe impact, and friction. Keep away from fire and heat sources. Class I flammable liquid, hazard code 61152.

Stability

1. Colorless transparent viscous oily liquid. Soluble in water, also capable of dissolving inorganic salts, hygroscopic, easily decomposes in acidic or alkaline solutions. Has an ammonia-like odor.

Chemically reacts with hydrogen chloride to form two types of salts; in non-polar solvents, it forms HCONHCH3·HCl; without solvent, it forms (HCONHCH3)2·HCl. Reacts minimally with sodium metal at room temperature. Hydrolyzes under the influence of acids or bases. Acidic hydrolysis rate: formamide > N-methylformamide > N,N-dimethylformamide. Alkaline hydrolysis rate: formamide > N-methylformamide > N,N-dimethylformamide.
