Main Uses

1) Dipropylene glycol is the most ideal solvent for many fragrances and cosmetics. This raw material has excellent solubility in water, oils, and hydrocarbons, with a mild odor, low skin irritation, and very low toxicity. Its isomeric distribution is uniform and consistent, ensuring high quality;

2) Dipropylene glycol can also serve as a coupling agent and humectant in various cosmetic applications. In the perfume industry, its usage proportion exceeds 50%. In other applications, the usage proportion is generally within 10% (by weight). Specific product applications include: hair curling solutions, skin cleansers (cold creams, shower gels, bath liquids, and lotions), deodorants, facial, hand, and body skincare products, moisturizing skincare products, lipsticks, etc.;

3) Dipropylene glycol is also used in the production of unsaturated and saturated resins. Resins produced with it exhibit superior flexibility, crack resistance, and weather resistance. The products have long-term anti-yellowing properties.

4) Used as a solvent for cellulose acetate, cellulose nitrate, shellac varnish, and castor oil. It can also be used in the production of plasticizers, fumigants, synthetic detergents, etc.
