Uses
1. Used as a solvent and in organic synthesis.
2. Serves as a raw material for organic synthesis, a solvent for oils and fats, a detergent, and a raw material for resins and pesticides. It can be aminated to produce propylenediamine. 1,2-Dichloropropane and 1,3-dichloropropene. D-D is a pre-plant nematicide that effectively controls soil nematodes, including root-knot nematodes, meadow nematodes, sting nematodes, dagger nematodes, spiral nematodes, and sugar beet nematodes. Best results are achieved when the agent is applied at a soil depth of 15-20 cm.
