1. Used as a pharmaceutical intermediate, mainly for the synthesis of chlorpromazine, trifluoperazine, perphenazine, clomipramine, benzydamine, doxepin hydrochloride, chlorprothixene, etc.
2. Used in organic synthesis and the pharmaceutical industry
3. Used in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals such as anti-inflammatory analgesics, fluphenazine, trifluoperazine, etc., and also in other organic syntheses.
4. Used in phenothiazines such as chlorpromazine, gemfibrozil, trifluoperazine, perphenazine, methopromazine, as well as in benzydamine, penfluridol, verapamil, chlorprothixene, doxepin hydrochloride, diphenidol, lidoflazine, pentoxifylline, etc. Also widely used in the synthesis of intermediates for ciprofloxacin, such as cyclopropylamine.
