Ventilation skylights, also known as roof ventilators, natural ventilators, or ventilation louvers, are large ventilation devices commonly used in industrial buildings that integrate ventilation, daylighting, and smoke extraction. They play a crucial role in improving indoor air quality.
Ventilation skylights are categorized into two types based on ventilation methods: natural open type and electric open-close type. Natural open ventilation skylights are suitable for workshops without insulation or temperature control requirements. They maintain continuous airflow between indoor and outdoor environments, expelling smoke, dust, and hot air while facilitating air exchange. This type of skylight offers cost advantages.
Electric open-close ventilation skylights are equipped with an electric system and open-close baffles based on the natural open type. The baffles open when ventilation, smoke extraction, or dust removal is needed and remain closed at other times to prevent air exchange between indoors and outdoors.
Ridge ventilation skylights are installed along the roof ridge. According to airflow principles, this position allows for efficient and timely expulsion of indoor heat, smoke, and dust, making them suitable for large-scale structures.
Slope ventilation skylights are ideal for workshops with minimal heat and smoke, smaller buildings, or multi-bay structures. Depending on actual needs, ridge and slope ventilation skylights can be used in combination.
