Yellow powder, soluble in water to give a lemon yellow color, soluble in fibers, sparingly soluble in ethanol. Appears orange in benzene or carbon tetrachloride. Insoluble in other organic solvents.
Mainly used for dyeing cotton, linen, viscose, or fiber fabrics, and also applicable for silk, wool, nylon, and their blended fabric dyeing. Other applications include dyeing leather and paper pulp.
