Non-Excavation Petroleum Drilling Specialized Polymer Chemical Mud

Mud protection involves the use of a mixture of water, bentonite, and other additives such as CMC. In projects like diaphragm wall trenching and bored pile drilling, the static pressure exerted by the mud on the trench walls and the mud cake formed on the walls effectively prevent collapse of the trenches or boreholes. Additionally, the mud serves to carry cuttings and cool and lubricate the machinery. Mud with a certain viscosity can discharge cuttings along with it.
