ES-RYJYJ is a new product specifically designed by Jinlianyu Cable for energy storage application scenarios. The full name of this cable is: Battery Connection Cable for Power Energy Storage Systems, abbreviated as energy storage cable. It consists of three parts: conductor, insulation, and sheath. It is suitable for DC systems with a rated voltage of DC1500V and below, and a high-temperature resistance rating of 125°C. It can be used in mobile energy storage power stations, energy storage demonstration power stations, wind power energy storage systems, peak-shaving energy storage systems, and other fields for connections between batteries and between batteries and inverters.
In practical applications, the space for storing energy storage batteries is generally limited. Energy storage cables are susceptible to high temperatures from battery heat, corrosion from electrolyte leakage, and external environmental factors such as continuous exposure to sunlight, low temperatures, and humidity. The safety performance and service life of the cables will be severely tested. The new energy storage cable launched by Jinlianyu has five major advantages:
First, high flexibility. The conductor part of this energy storage cable is twisted from Class 6 conductors. Compared to the commonly used national standard Class 5 conductors, the individual copper wires are finer. With the same copper core specifications, the conductor has more copper wires and higher flexibility. Therefore, this cable's characteristics of being easy to bend and adjust will be more prominent in the relatively narrow storage space of energy storage batteries;
Second, acid and alkali resistance. The insulation and sheath layers of the cable are made of high-performance cross-linked polyolefin and undergo "radiation cross-linking," which further enhances their acid and alkali resistance, anti-aging performance, and service life. When electrolyte leakage occurs in energy storage batteries, the acid and alkali resistance of the cable's insulation and sheath layers can effectively protect the interior of the cable, ensuring it continues to operate safely;
Third, high and low-temperature resistance. The insulation and sheath layers of the cable are made of low-smoke, halogen-free, and highly flame-retardant materials. They produce low smoke concentration when burned, do not release toxic halogen-containing gases, and are self-extinguishing. After "radiation cross-linking," their high-temperature resistance can be increased to 125°C–150°C, and their low-temperature resistance can reach -40°C. When the cable encounters high current temperature rise or low-temperature freezing weather, it can ensure both safety and stability. At the same time, its applicable geographical range will be further expanded;
Fourth, high current conduction capability. The copper core material of the cable is oxygen-free pure copper, which has high purity, good toughness, low resistivity, strong conductivity, and stable safety performance. It has the ability to withstand high currents, meeting the needs of high-power energy storage systems;
Fifth, strong insulation. The insulation and sheath layers of the cable are made of high-insulation environmentally friendly plastic. After undergoing multiple strict tests, it has been verified to have excellent insulation performance, avoiding harm to the working environment and human health.
