Product Features
The product features high purity, small particle size, uniform distribution, large specific surface area, high surface activity, and low bulk density. It is slightly soluble in water and insoluble in general acids.
Potential Application Areas:
1. Molybdenum trioxide nanobelts exhibit better catalytic performance than their bulk materials;
Mainly because: (1) Nanomaterials have very small sizes and large specific surface areas, with many atoms on the surface, enhancing the adsorption capacity of catalytic materials for organic substances and facilitating catalytic reactions; (2) The small size of nanobelts shortens the diffusion time of photogenerated electrons from the crystal interior to the surface, reducing the recombination probability of electrons and holes, thereby improving photocatalytic efficiency; (3) Due to the increased bandgap width of MoO3 nanobelts, compared to bulk materials, their photogenerated electrons have a more negative potential, correspondingly stronger reducibility, while photogenerated holes will have a more positive potential and stronger oxidizability, leading to increased photocatalytic activity of the nanobelts. Therefore, molybdenum trioxide nanomaterials have certain application prospects in the treatment of organic dye pollution.
2. Smoke Suppression - Flame Retardancy and Its Applications
Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is a widely used general-purpose thermoplastic polymer material, but the dense smoke generated during its combustion has always been one of the concerns. Transition metal compounds have good smoke suppression effects on PVC. Nano molybdenum trioxide can promote intermolecular cross-linking reactions to form carbides, increase carbon formation, improve the oxygen index, reduce flammable components, and decrease smoke generation speed and density, thereby achieving smoke suppression. Due to processing needs, a large amount of plasticizer is added, significantly reducing its chlorine content and lowering the oxygen index, which may lead to serious fire hazards in cable products during use. To address this issue, an appropriate amount of flame retardant is usually added to the cable material formulation to enhance flame retardancy.
3. Other Areas
Widely used in the production of ultra-pure nano molybdenum powder, various molybdenum salts, catalysts, enamel coloring, electrochromic films, and gas generation composite materials, among other fields.
Packaging and Storage
This product is default packaged in inert gas anti-static bags in barrels or vacuum bags. For experimental quantities, inert gas bottle packaging is optional.
