Potential Application Areas:
1. Modified high-strength nylon materials: Nano silicon carbide powder exhibits good compatibility and dispersibility in polymer composites, with strong bonding to the matrix. After modification, the tensile strength of high-strength nylon alloy increases by over 150% compared to ordinary PA6, and wear resistance improves by more than 3 times. Mainly used for polymer components in armored tracked vehicles, automotive steering parts, textile machinery, mining machinery liners, and railway components, achieving densification at lower sintering temperatures;
2. Modified special engineering plastic polyetheretherketone (PEEK) wear resistance: With an addition of about 5%, it significantly improves and enhances the wear resistance of PEEK (by over 30%);
3. Application of nano silicon carbide in rubber tires: Adding about 2% nano silicon carbide without altering the original rubber formula for modification, without reducing its original performance and quality, wear resistance can be improved by 20%–40%. Additionally, nano silicon carbide is used in wear-resistant, heat-dissipating, and temperature-resistant rubber products such as rubber rollers and printer fuser films;
4. Nano silicon carbide composite coatings on metal surfaces: Using nano-sized particles as the second phase mixed with nickel as the matrix metal, forming highly dense electrodeposited composite coatings with excellent adhesion on metal surfaces. These coatings exhibit ultra-hardness (wear resistance), anti-friction (self-lubrication), and high-temperature resistance. The microhardness of the composite coating is significantly improved, wear resistance increases by 2-3 times, service life extends by 3-5 times, coating adhesion to the substrate improves by 40%, with strong coverage, uniform, smooth, and fine coating;
