The product exhibits excellent chemical and thermal stability. It is soluble in aqua regia and concentrated sulfuric acid, insoluble in water and dilute acids, does not react chemically with general metal surfaces, and does not corrode rubber materials. It can be used for the treatment and storage maintenance lubrication of spare parts, forming a highly efficient adhesive dry lubricating film. It is a specialized material for addressing many issues in wear and friction reduction technology.

Potential Application Areas:

1. Application in Lubricants: Not only can it increase the maximum non-seizure load of lubricating oil, but it also reduces wear and improves the friction properties of materials. The mechanism is that nano molybdenum disulfide is more prone to tribochemical reactions than ordinary molybdenum disulfide, forming a lubricating film rich in sulfur and molybdenum, which acts as an anti-wear agent. The mechanism by which molybdenum disulfide reduces friction and wear is entirely different from that of lubricating grease, and it can maintain its excellent anti-friction and anti-wear properties under high vacuum. It is mainly used in equipment that is difficult to maintain, such as spacecraft and satellites.
