Working Principle of Ultrasonic Cleaning Machines
Ultrasonic cleaning is based on the physical effect of "cavitation" when ultrasonic waves propagate through the cleaning liquid medium. The ultrasonic generator produces electrical energy with a frequency higher than 20 kHz, which is converted into ultrasonic energy by the transducer and transmitted into the cleaning medium. When the intensity of the ultrasonic field exceeds the cavitation threshold of the cleaning medium, numerous expanding "cavities" rapidly form in the cleaning liquid due to ultrasonic negative pressure. During ultrasonic positive pressure, these "cavities" are strongly compressed, creating microscopic intense shock waves and high-speed jets that act on the surface of the object being cleaned, rapidly crushing and dislodging contaminants.
