Main Functional Features
Accurate Reading: Ensures real-time readings at any time are consistent with the mechanical display of the gas meter (error rate < 0.01%). No built-in or backup power required, and data will not be lost due to short-term power outages or network failures.
Long Service Life: Uses electromagnetic sensors for sampling, with no mechanical contact or movement. Unaffected by vibrations caused by pipelines or other factors, resulting in extremely low failure rates.
Safe to Use: The meter uses low-voltage circuits for communication. High-voltage power is physically isolated from the gas meter, with high insulation strength ensuring safety.
Easy Installation: The base meter of the direct-read gas meter has the same installation specifications as a standard mechanical gas meter, making installation simple.
5. Safety Precautions for Gas Use
(1) Before use, completely vent air from the pipeline and meter to avoid explosive combustion;
(2) During use, do not exceed the maximum flow rate or maximum working pressure of the gas meter, otherwise measurement accuracy and service life cannot be guaranteed;
(3) If a gas leak is detected during use, immediately close the gas supply valve, open windows for ventilation, and notify the relevant department for repair;
(4) Never use an open flame to check for leaks! Do not disassemble the gas meter without authorization.
6. Meter Reading Precautions
(1) The gas meter defaults to serial communication at 9600 8 N 1. The address code is the last two digits of the 8-digit factory number of the gas meter. For example, if the factory number is 18801888, the communication address is 88 (custom products may have exceptions);
(2) The communication address and rate of the gas meter are set at the factory but can be read and partially reconfigured using the test software provided by our company;
(3) It is recommended to set the meter reading frequency to 3 seconds or more to avoid data errors or other anomalies;
(4) The address code, meter base value, pulse type, and other information can be modified via protocol or our test software (refer to the communication protocol for details).
7. Installation
(1) The gas quality must comply with GB 50028-2006 "Code for Design of Urban Gas Engineering" and should be installed by a qualified professional department;
(2) The gas meter should be installed in a location that is easy to observe, well-ventilated, protected from rain and direct sunlight, and away from fire sources and flammable or explosive materials;
(3) Before installation, tap the bottom of the gas meter to reset all components. During installation, connect according to the arrow direction on the case and ensure the meter is level;
(4) After installation, check the air tightness of all connections. The leak detection pressure must not exceed 1.5 times the maximum working pressure.
8. Wiring Instructions
The 485 bus interface of this gas meter has 4 output wires. It comes standard with a 40 cm 304 stainless steel corrugated hose and a预留 Φ8mm*20mm tubular joint nut. The power supply voltage is DC6V-24V (±0.2V), with a maximum current of 60mA.
Wiring method: Red: Power positive; Black: Power negative; Yellow (Cyan): 485A line; Green (Blue): 485B line.
9. Valve Instructions
If the product you purchased includes a built-in valve and supports remote open/close valve functionality, after wiring and confirming successful communication, you can use the management system to issue open or close valve commands to the gas meter. Automatic valve control can also be achieved based on gas usage parameters, enabling intelligent management.
