The outer layer is an aluminized fiberglass thermal protective layer that can resist over 95% of thermal radiation, while the inner layer is an airtight chemical protective suit, each serving different protective functions. It is fully enclosed with a front-entry design and built-in breathing apparatus. All seams are constructed with double-layer heat-sealed tape both inside and out. The face shield is specially treated with a 10mil thick Teflon chemical-resistant coating on a 40mil thick flexible PVC screen. The glove system provides high-level chemical protection along with cut resistance. The foot section includes integrated chemical-resistant booties and protective boot covers.
