Light-burned dolomite is mainly used in steelmaking to improve the fluidity of steel slag, serving as a converter slagging agent. It extends the lifespan of the converter, enhances slag fluidity, improves desulfurization and dephosphorization reactions, and can replace light-burned magnesia pellets and modifiers, saving a significant amount of fluorite. In ironmaking, the addition of raw dolomite dilutes the slag, lowers the slag melting point, reduces fuel consumption, and improves the quality of pig iron.
