AL-3214 is a buck-boost DC conversion charging IC that achieves step-down and step-up
conversion with an H-bridge. Supports charging management for 1 to 4 lithium batteries.
Full charging voltage and charging current can be programmed via external resistors.
Constant current control is used to protect against overshoot under undesired conditions.
Built-in loop compensation simplifies the circuit and design. PFM is used to maintain high efficiency under light load currents.
AL-3214 ensures thermal stability protection and battery undervoltage lockout. Wide input voltage range: 4.2V to 21V.
Adaptive input current limiting. 1-4 cell selectable charging cutoff voltage. Efficient buck-boost conversion.
450kHz switching frequency. Programmable charging current (up to 3A).
Quiescent current: <5μA. Integrated thermal protection.
