Coal Drill Cuttings Gas Desorption Instrument

Product Introduction

The MD-2 Coal Drill Cuttings Gas Desorption Instrument is used to measure the gas desorption indices Δh₂ and K₁ of coal drill cuttings to determine the risk of coal and gas outbursts in working faces. The principle of the instrument is as follows: without artificially degassing or recharging the coal sample underground, it utilizes the residual gas pressure (gas content) in the coal drill cuttings to release (desorb) gas into a sealed space. The volume and pressure changes (represented by water column pressure difference) of this space are used to characterize the amount of gas desorbed from the coal sample. The main body of the instrument is made from a single piece of acrylic.
