After recognizing the increasing demand for variations in water quality and installation methods in domestic mines, our company has improved the horizontal and inclined installation of submersible electric pumps and introduced them to the market.
① Vertical Installation Method
The vertical installation method of the submersible electric pump unit is suitable for vertical shaft sump drainage and surface dewatering drainage. The submersible electric pump is suspended in the shaft sump. The advantages include reasonable force distribution, stable operation, small sump footprint, and high drainage efficiency. The disadvantages are the greater depth of the vertical sump and the need for sufficient lifting space, with high requirements for supporting significant weight.
② Horizontal and Inclined Installation Methods
The horizontal electric pump unit offers advantages such as easy installation, simple lifting, and reduced sump construction workload. Combined with a horizontal pump cart and rollers, it enables rapid drainage operations.
③ Applicable Installations for Underground Main Drainage, Track-Mounted Emergency Drainage, and Trackless Inclined Shaft Production Recovery Drainage
Main Drainage: The submersible electric pump serves as the main drainage equipment, with a small footprint and minimal roadway construction. Combined with a pump cart and unit, it can be installed using clamp rollers or foundation brackets. Installed in the connecting roadway sump pump position, it eliminates the need for a dedicated pump house, with a distribution valve set in the distribution alley connecting the pump house and sump.
Track-Mounted Emergency Drainage: The electric pump unit is lowered along the track to the bottom of the shaft, aiming to complete drainage operations in one go. The pump unit can move quickly within the roadway and is equipped with a flexible quick-connect coupling device. As water level and volume change, the submersible electric pump adjusts its position rapidly, shortening drainage time. It also has low requirements for lifting equipment.
Trackless Emergency and Production Recovery Drainage:
For abandoned mines without tracks or those where large submersible electric pumps cannot be installed directly, a combined drainage system consisting of a submersible electric pump, suction cover, pressure-resistant hose, and booster pump is used. The booster pump is combined with the main drainage pump, installed at the bottom of the main pump, feeding water to the main drainage pump via steel pipes for drainage operations. The booster pump is easy to maintain and move, avoiding suction of sediment and debris from the shaft bottom.
