The submersible oil pump unit features a slender cylindrical structure, with a length that can reach several tens of meters. The standard installation method for submersible oil pumps is as follows: Downhole section: motor, protector, gas separator, centrifugal pump. The pump shafts are connected using splined sleeves, and the outer casings are connected with flange bolts. Anti-reversal blocks are welded at the threaded joints between the motor casing and the support base to prevent short-term reverse rotation from loosening the threads.

The torque transmitted by the pump shaft drives the impeller to rotate at high speed, converting kinetic energy into pressure energy to lift the liquid to the surface. The pump is a multistage series-connected submersible pump, with each stage consisting of a rotating impeller and a fixed guide shell. Submerged in the well fluid, the liquid is acted upon by the blades of the high-speed rotating impeller, converting velocity energy into pressure energy. The well fluid then enters the next stage impeller through the guide shell, with pressure increasing stage by stage... Finally, it is delivered to the surface through the pump outlet via the tubing and converges through the wellhead device and surface gathering system.

Due to the constraints of the well casing size, the pump has a small outer diameter, numerous stages, and a slender cylindrical structure, with a maximum length of up to 30 meters, manufactured in sections. The pump sections are connected by flanges, and the shafts are connected by splined sleeves. The flow rate determines the pump type, the head determines the number of stages, and the product of flow rate and head determines the required power. Submersible centrifugal pumps feature high pump efficiency, high head, a wide displacement range (30—1000 m³/d), and broad adaptability to oil wells.
