【Physical and Chemical Indicators】
1. Appearance: Light yellow uniform powder
【Performance and Characteristics】
Fluorescent Brightener VBL is a typical representative of bis(triamino) fluorescent brighteners. It is soluble in 80 times its weight of soft water, exhibits anionic properties, and has acid and alkali resistance within pH 6–11, with an optimal dye bath pH of 8–9. In acidic solutions, fluorescence gradually weakens and yellows as acidity increases. It can withstand hard water up to 300 ppm and free chlorine up to 0.25%, but is not resistant to metal ions such as copper and iron. It is stable to sodium hydrosulfite but not to high-temperature baking. It can be used in the same bath with anionic surfactants or dyes, nonionic surfactants, and hydrogen peroxide. The fluorescent tone is bluish violet (blue-purple). Fluorescent Brightener VBL should not be used in the same bath with cationic dyes and surfactants or synthetic resin precondensates.
【Scope of Application】
| 1. Used for whitening white products of cotton and viscose, as well as brightening light-colored or printed products. Light fastness is average, affinity for cellulose fibers is good, leveling property is average. Suitable for printing, pad dyeing, and printing paste. 2. Can be used for whitening vinylon and nylon products. 3. Used in the paper industry for whitening pulp or coatings. | |
【Usage Method】 | |
| In the paper industry, dissolve the fluorescent brightener in 80 times water and add it to the pulp or coating. The dosage is 0.1–0.3% of the weight of the absolute dry pulp or absolute dry coating. | |
【Packaging and Storage】
Fluorescent Brightener VBL is packaged in cardboard drums lined with plastic bags or plastic-coated paper bags, each with a net weight of 25 kg.
