Agricultural Applications: Magnesium is the core element of chlorophyll, enhancing the plant's reduction process, improving disease resistance, promoting enzyme activation, loosening compacted soil to make it more fertile, encouraging robust root development for better nutrient absorption, and resulting in more vigorous plant growth. Sulfur is a major component of proteins and enzymes in plants, promoting root growth, enhancing metabolic and redox processes within the plant, thereby fostering vigorous growth and increased crop yields. Thus, magnesium sulfate is an ideal raw material for producing compound fertilizers. It can be blended with nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium to create compound or mixed fertilizers according to specific needs, or combined with one or more elements to form various fertilizers, including compound fertilizers. Field fertilization comparison experiments on nine crops, such as rubber trees, fruit trees, tobacco, legumes, potatoes, and cereals, have shown that compound fertilizers containing magnesium increase crop yields by 15-50% compared to those without magnesium.
