Product Application

Based on Hess's Law of thermochemistry, which states that the heat effect of a chemical reaction depends only on the initial and final states of the system and is independent of the reaction pathway. Under constant surrounding temperature conditions in the calorimeter, the unhydrated cement and cement hydrated for a specified period are dissolved in a standard acid solution of certain concentration. The difference in the dissolution heat measured represents the heat of hydration released by the cement within the specified period.
