1. Viscosity: Viscosity reflects the internal resistance of asphalt material to relative flow. The higher the penetration value, the lower the viscosity.

2. Plasticity: Plasticity refers to the ability to deform under force without breaking. The greater the ductility of petroleum asphalt, the better its plasticity.

3. Temperature Sensitivity: Temperature sensitivity refers to the change in viscosity and plasticity of petroleum asphalt with temperature fluctuations. A higher softening point indicates lower temperature sensitivity.

4. Atmospheric Stability: Atmospheric stability refers to the ability of petroleum asphalt to resist aging under long-term exposure to comprehensive atmospheric factors.
