I. Introduction to MI Heating Cable

Mineral Insulated (MI) stainless steel heating cable is manufactured using single or multiple nickel-chromium alloy heating wires as the heat source, high-purity, high-temperature, electrically fused crystalline magnesium oxide as the thermal insulator, and seamless continuous stainless steel tube as the sheath, produced through special manufacturing processes. For environments with strong corrosive effects, an additional PE or low-smoke zero-halogen outer jacket can be applied.
Stainless Steel Sheathed Mineral Insulated (MI) Heating Cable: The stainless steel sheathed series of mineral insulated heating cables can meet the requirements of high-temperature conditions and high heating power (up to 200W/m). The stainless steel sheathed heating cable can withstand temperatures up to 600°C, with conductor resistance values ranging from 28,000 to 19.2 Ω/km. Mineral insulated cables offer excellent mechanical strength and corrosion resistance.

The materials composing MI cables are all inorganic, making the cable non-combustible, non-supportive of combustion, and incapable of releasing toxic or harmful gases at high temperatures. The solid structure, consisting of a seamless metal sheath and tightly compacted mineral insulation material, fundamentally prevents the intrusion of flammable gases and flames, making it a truly explosion-proof cable. The sheath is a seamless metal sheath, and depending on the actual working environment, an appropriate metal outer sheath can be selected, fundamentally avoiding corrosion of the cable. Thus, neither liquids nor gases can penetrate the cable interior.
Since the materials composing MI heating cables are all inorganic, the cable's performance indicators remain unchanged even when working in radioactive environments. The properties of the materials used in the heating cable ensure that there is no issue of insulation aging, providing long-term stability and excellent flexibility, allowing free bending.
