Dip coater doctor rod

The doctoring rod of the dip coater is an important component of the dip coater. It is usually located above the dip tank or at other critical positions for adhesive transfer. Its main function is to scrape off excess adhesive from the surface of the adhesive roller or the object after being impregnated with adhesive, making the thickness of the adhesive layer more uniform.

The position of the doctoring rod can be adjusted through mechanical devices. Generally, there are structures such as screws or guide rails. By rotating the screws or moving the guide rails, the distance between the doctoring rod and the adhesive roller or object can be changed, thereby adjusting the pressure of the doctoring. In actual operation, the operator needs to flexibly adjust the position and pressure of the doctoring rod based on factors such as the viscosity of the adhesive, the material of the object being dipped, and the required thickness of the adhesive layer.
