Qinghe County Antai Welding Materials Co., Ltd., under the brand Dongsheng Antai, is one of the early manufacturers of chromium-based wear-resistant welding electrodes in Hebei Province. Antai Welding Materials incorporates boron carbide into its chromium-based wear-resistant electrodes, resulting in post-weld metal that uses chromium boride alloy as the wear-resistant alloy. This innovation has established a concept of low cost and high wear resistance, and the company has patented chromium-based boron carbide electrodes. In August 1998, the company installed its own boron carbide sintering furnace, further reducing the cost of electrodes and expanding its market share. It set a national record by producing 1,800 tons of wear-resistant electrodes annually and was awarded the title of Outstanding Private Enterprise by the provincial government. In January 2011, to meet the market demand for welding automation, the company purchased three flux-cored wire production lines from Germany. Leveraging over a decade of expertise in wear-resistant electrodes and incorporating advanced foreign technology, it developed various series of wear-resistant, impact-resistant, heat-resistant, and acid-alkali-resistant hardfacing flux-cored wires. To capture the automated welding materials market both domestically and internationally, in June 2015, the company acquired three additional fully automatic flux-cored wire production lines from Germany. It also hired several academicians from the Harbin Welding Research Institute and Surface Engineering Research Institute as technical advisors. The new factory covers over 60 acres, with nearly 20,000 square meters of workshop space, establishing a new entity with a robust research system for welding materials and numerous technical personnel. The company primarily produces various series of wear-resistant electrodes, hardfacing flux-cored wires, stainless steel flux-cored wires, stainless steel electrodes, as well as copper, aluminum, nickel, titanium welding, and hardfacing flux-cored wires, with an annual output of nearly 10,000 tons of special welding materials.
