Isonicotinic acid

Properties: White, highly dispersed amorphous or flocculent powder. Melting point 1750°C. Insoluble in water and acids. Absorbs moisture from the air, forming aggregated fine particles. Soluble in sodium hydroxide and hydrofluoric acid. Stable against other chemicals, resistant to high temperatures, non-combustible. Exhibits high electrical insulation. Highly porous with a large internal surface area, demonstrating strong dispersibility in raw rubber. Application Areas: Primarily used in the rubber industry as an excellent reinforcing and filling agent for manufacturing light-colored rubber products. Although its reinforcing performance is inferior to that of hard carbon black, its white color overcomes the drawbacks of carbon black, which affects the aesthetics of rubber products and prevents coloring. In the paint industry, it is used in coatings to prevent pigment sedimentation. In the grease industry, it is employed in the production of lubricating oils and greases. The finest powder is also used in the textile industry as a fiber reinforcing agent. Additionally, it has certain applications in ink manufacturing and other fields.
