Use: Biochemical research. Insulin is the only hormone in the body that lowers blood sugar and the only hormone that simultaneously promotes glycogen, fat, and protein synthesis. Its mechanism of action belongs to the receptor tyrosine kinase mechanism.

Reference Instructions:
Insulin is supplied as a crystalline powder and should be stored frozen below -18°C. Before use, dissolve it, typically preparing a stock solution of 1–2 mg insulin per 1 ml using hydrochloric acid solution (10 mM), then sterilize by filtration. The filtered solution can be stored at -20°C for 6 months after aliquoting. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
