Design Purpose: Cold galvanizing paint provides dual functions of cathodic protection and barrier protection.
Barrier protection: When zinc-rich cold spray zinc coating is oxidized, it forms a layer of zinc salts on the surface to provide barrier protection. Meanwhile, the binder in the cold spray zinc coating offers an additional layer of barrier protection, slowing down zinc oxidation. Therefore, the corrosion resistance of cold spray zinc coatings is superior to that of sprayed zinc (aluminum), hot-dip galvanizing, and other zinc-rich coatings.
Active cathodic protection:
Cold galvanizing paint differs from ordinary coatings, as its dry film contains over 96% pure zinc, providing excellent cathodic protection for steel.
Even in harsh environments, it offers long-term protection for steel surfaces. Its corrosion resistance is comparable to hot-dip galvanizing,
or even superior.
1. Used for long-term corrosion protection of steel, replacing hot-dip galvanizing and thermal spray zinc, achieving better protective effects than hot-dip galvanizing and thermal spray zinc.
2. Can be used as a single-layer metal anti-corrosion protective layer or as a primer in heavy-duty anti-corrosion coating systems for extended protection periods.
3. Also suitable for repairing damages on various galvanized layers of steel structures caused by welding, cutting, drilling, or riveting.

Compatible Products: Cold galvanizing paint can be used with epoxy mica iron oxide intermediate coat and then coated with various topcoats;
Recommended topcoat compatible coatings: Epoxy resin paint, acrylic polyurethane paint, polysiloxane topcoat, fluorocarbon paint.
Construction Process: Shot blasting for rust removal → drying with compressed air to remove dust → pre-coating of special areas like welds with zinc-rich coating → spray (brush) application of zinc-rich coating → coating interval → spray (brush) application of compatible coatings for zinc-rich coating → product quality inspection → qualified
Surface Treatment: The surface should be sandblasted or shot blasted to achieve Sa2.5 grade as per GB8923 "Rust Grades and Preparation Grades of Steel Surfaces Before Coating." For areas where pretreatment does not meet requirements, use electric grinders to achieve St3 grade.
Application Methods:
Pre-coating: Use a brush to apply one coat on welds, corners, edges, screw holes, plate edges, and hard-to-reach areas for pre-coating. Air spray: Connect air source to an oil-water separator, use a 2.5mm nozzle for air spray, maintain a distance of about 25cm between the gun and the object surface, spray width approximately 15cm, apply two passes, wait 1 hour before applying the second coat with two cross passes to achieve the required thickness. Airless spray: Use specialized spraying equipment for zinc-rich coatings with a Z-type nozzle, ensure the entire equipment is clean, recommended compression ratio around 1:30, spray width about 25cm.
Brush application: Use high-quality brushes that do not shed fibers, apply evenly using a cross method to ensure good penetration of the coating, avoid sagging and unevenness.
Construction Guidance:
Note: Theoretical consumption is calculated based on parameters; actual consumption may vary significantly depending on the user's application method, the shape of the sprayed workpiece, surface treatment process, film thickness, etc.
Coating Interval: Recoating interval: 1 hour for self-recoating, 2-8 hours for other coatings. Avoid moisture before the coating is fully dry. High zinc coatings can form zinc salts (white rust) on the surface; they should not be exposed for extended periods before applying the next coat. If zinc salts have formed, perform secondary removal treatment on the affected surface.
Application Conditions: Environmental conditions: 0°C to 50°C, relative humidity during application less than 85%, no dust in the air.
Preparation: Stir the contents in the bucket thoroughly from the bottom to ensure uniformity before use.
