Installation, Usage, and Precautions:

1. This sensor is a high-precision instrument. During installation, striking, dropping, or colliding is strictly prohibited.

2. Connections between the sensor and external components should avoid rigid coupling; instead, use couplings, connecting gears, or synchronous belts for transmission.

3. During installation, pay attention to the allowable axial load and do not exceed the ultimate load.

4. Ensure that the encoder's maximum speed is not exceeded. Exceeding the limit may cause loss of electrical signals.

5. Wiring must be correct. Incorrect wiring may damage the internal circuit of the sensor.

6. Do not bundle the sensor's output wires with power lines or transmit them through the same conduit. Avoid using them near wiring panels.

V. Installation Methods for Gate Opening Sensors (Images Use Contact Encoders as Examples):

Preface: Before installing the gate opening sensor, first determine the installation position. Only after confirming the position can the appropriate connection method be selected.

(I) Installation Methods for Gate Opening Sensors with Hoist Winches (Recommended Methods 1, 2, and 3): The sensor's extension shaft connects to relevant gate components via elastic couplings, eccentric couplings, ratio gears, sprocket chains, or hoisting methods (measuring wheels, counterweights, measuring ropes).

1. Elastic Coupling Installation: The sensor's extension shaft connects directly to the winch shaft or pinion shaft via a coupling.

① Drill three M5 holes, 20mm deep, on the installation shaft of the winch. Fix the flanged shaft to the installation shaft.

② Install a horizontal mounting plate at an appropriate position below the installation shaft, following the dimensions of the sensor bracket mounting holes.

③ Secure the sensor bracket to the mounting plate. Ensure the sensor's extension shaft and installation shaft are as coaxial as possible. If the height or misalignment is too large, use shims under the bracket for adjustment. Then tighten the four mounting anchor screws (M6 screws).

④ Attach the elastic coupling to the sensor's extension shaft and the connecting flange, and tighten.

2. Eccentric Coupling Installation: The sensor's extension shaft connects directly to the winch shaft or pinion shaft via an eccentric coupling.

① Drill three M5 holes, 20mm deep, on the installation shaft of the winch. Fix the eccentric flange to the installation shaft. Ensure the center hole of the eccentric flange is as concentric as possible with the installation shaft.

Then tighten the four mounting anchor screws (M8 screws).

④ Slide the other end of the eccentric coupling onto the sensor's extension shaft and tighten the fastening screw on the sensor's extension shaft end.

3. Gear Connection Method: The sensor's extension shaft connects directly to the winch shaft or pinion shaft via gears.

① Drill three M5 holes, 20mm deep, on the installation shaft of the winch. Fix the flanged shaft to the installation shaft.

② Install a horizontal mounting plate at an appropriate position below the installation shaft, following the dimensions of the sensor bracket mounting holes.

③ Slide gears onto the sensor's extension shaft and the flange adapter, and tighten the screws to ensure proper meshing. Then secure the sensor bracket to the mounting plate and tighten the M6 screws.

Note: This connection method allows convenient installation and adjustment, with a wide range of height adjustments. It also enables scaling up or down the number of sensor rotations as needed.

4. Sprocket Chain Installation: This method uses chain transmission to drive the sensor shaft, mainly for locations with limited installation space. First, install one sprocket on the winch shaft or pinion shaft, and another on the sensor's extension shaft. Then fit the chain. Choose the sensor's installation position based on the chain length, ensuring the chain has some free sag. Over-tightening may damage the sensor's extension shaft. Keep the sprockets parallel to prevent chain derailment.

5. Hoisting (Measuring Rope, Measuring Wheel, Counterweight) Installation: Install a mounting plate with a thickness of at least 4mm at an appropriate position above the gate (e.g., flat gate, radial gate). Ensure the mounting plate is level. Process four M8 fixed screw holes and two Ф22 measuring rope holes on the plate. Note: The positions of the four M5 screw holes must ensure that the center plane of the sensor measuring wheel's groove and the measuring rope's motion trajectory during full travel are in the same vertical plane. Then fix the sensor bracket to the mounting plate and install the measuring wheel on the sensor's extension shaft. Attach one end of the measuring rope to a suitable position on the gate, and the other end, after passing through the measuring wheel's groove, to the counterweight. Note: The rope length should ensure that when the gate is closed, the length on the counterweight side is about 0.5m. If the rope and measuring wheel are not in the same vertical plane, loosen the measuring wheel's fastening screw and axially adjust its position on the sensor's extension shaft to prevent derailment during measurement.

(II) Installation Methods for Gate Opening Sensors with Screw Lifts:

1. Gear Installation Method: The sensor's output shaft connects directly to the screw lift's thread via a gear (the gear's addendum distance equals the screw lift's pitch). Install a mounting plate with a thickness of at least 4mm at an appropriate position on the screw lift, ensuring it is level.

2. Fix the encoder to the mounting bracket and install the gear on the encoder's extension shaft.

3. Secure the sensor bracket to the mounting plate. Ensure the gear meshes properly with the screw lift before finalizing the bracket installation. Once installed, the screw's upward and downward movement will drive the gear rotation, and the connected encoder will measure the gate's actual rise or fall position.
